本研究运用Kwan文献综述语类结构模式考察我国学习者英语学位论文文献综述语类的建构状况。结果表明,在语类结构上,写作者语步1和语步2占据主导地位,语步3明显偏低。配置模式上,语步1中,"综述主题各研究活动"是出现频率最高的步骤。"总结研究活动"—"正面肯定前期研究"—"指出前期研究空白"—"声称所综述研究和当前研究的相关性"是语步2主要的步骤配置模式。语步3中,"宣告当前研究目标"出现频率最高,"宣告当前研究设计"出现频率最低。在引述前期研究方面,引述内容不详、焦点不突出、与研究主题不直接相关以及引述表述错误,是最为突出的三个问题。该语类结构和引述问题反映了写作者的文献综述语类意识和语类运用能力。基于调查结果,研究者提出加强写作者英语学位论文文献综述的语类意识,将语类教学法应用于学术论文写作实践中。
Abstract:This paper investigates how the Chinese English learners construct the literature review(LR) in their dissertation. Assuming that there are a number of moves in the structure of the dissertation, the study fi nds, in terms of structure, move 1 and move 2 take up the majority of LR while move 3 comes low. In terms of collocation of the steps in each move, "surveying the research-related phenomena" comes fi rst in move 1. "Summarizing the previous research" —"asserting confirmative claims about knowledge or research practices surveyed" — "gap indicating" —"asserting the relevancy of the surveyed claims to one's own research" stands as the main format in move 2. In move 3, "research aims, focuses or hypotheses" is highly preferred, while "research design" appears scarce. As regards the surveying of the previous research, the lack of specifi cs and focus, irrelevancy to the topic and errors in expression top as the three main problems. The results, in a way, refl ect the genre consciousness and the writing ability of the LR writers. Therefore, the author puts forward suggestions on strengthening students' LR generic consciousness and applying genre-based method to academic writing instruction.
