本文引入Linell(2009)的"再语境化"(re-contextualization)概念及分类,从体裁和语域两个角度对涉及神经科学、政治及文学作品营销三个不同活动域的具体隐喻的发展和变化进行分析,旨在说明文本或会话中的重要隐喻是如何在不同语境中被再次使用,以表达新的意义实现新的功能的,并通过考察相关活动域以及原初语境和新语境之间的不同,对其新的意义和功能进行了阐释,强调了隐喻语言的动态特点及与语境的密切联系。
Abstract：This article analyzes, from the perspective of genre and register, the development of particular metaphors in three pairs of linked texts on the topics of neural science, politics and the marketing of literary works by adopting Linell's(2009) typology of "recontextualization". It shows how key metaphorical expressions from earlier texts or conversations are re-used by later writers, in different genres and registers, to convey new meanings and serve new functions. It accounts for these new meanings and functions by considering the relevant domain of activity and the differences between the original context of use and the context(s) in which the metaphor is re-used. The study emphasizes the dynamic and contextbound nature of metaphorical language.
