This paper explores the relationship among story, discourse, and language in ecological discourse analysis. It discusses the issues within the framework of harmonious discourse analysis and demonstrates the relationship among story, discourse and language through the ecological analysis of an English text. The paper argues that the world is made up of a variety of stories, and because different types of people, different groups of people, different ethnic groups and different countries have different perceptions and understanding of the world, a variety of different stories are produced, and that stories are expressed through discourse, which in turn is realized by the use of language.
