具身认知是认知心理学中一种新的研究框架，具有深厚的哲学思辨渊源和实证基础。隐喻的本质是从始源域向目标域的单向映射，隐喻的成立依赖于其文化基座，隐喻具有显著的具身认知基础。隐喻翻译的难点在于原文中隐喻意象所形成的具身认知在目的语语境中是否依然成立。因此，目的语读者对隐喻意象的具身体验成为隐喻翻译过程中译者处理意象的决策标准。中国政治话语广泛使用隐喻。在翻译实践中引入具身认知视角，根据不同隐喻意象在译文语境中的认知体验，译者可以采取保留、变更、解释、舍弃、融合等5种翻译策略，克服隐喻翻译中的具身体验差异，为中国政治话语外译的质效提升提供有益借鉴。

Embodied cognition is a new research paradigm in cognitive psychology, which not only originated from profound philosophical speculation but also was based on empirical researches. The essence of metaphor is a one-way mapping from the source domain to the target domain, and the effect of a metaphor depends on its cultural base, which represents a significant tendency based on embodied cognition. Therefore, the difficulty of metaphor translation lies in whether the embodied cognition formed by the image of the metaphor in the source text still makes sense in the target text context. In other words, the embodied experience of the metaphor image by the readers of target texts becomes the most critical criterion for judging how to deal with the metaphor image in translation. Metaphors are widely used in the Chinese political discourses. Based on the embodied cognition of the metaphor images within the target text context, five translation strategies,namely retaining, changing, explaining, abandoning,or integrating the metaphor images, can be adopted to overcome the difference of embodied experience in metaphor translation, all of which may provide useful reference for improving the quality and effect of the Chinese political discourse translation.
